Holistic Counseling

Holistic counseling is an approach to therapy that aims to treat the whole person rather than focusing solely on specific symptoms or behaviors. This approach integrates various aspects of an individual's well-being, including mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual health, to promote overall healing and growth.

Holistic counselors use a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to address the interconnectedness of different facets of a person's life. They may incorporate traditional talk therapy with alternative therapies such as mindfulness practices, meditation, inner child therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, trauma alchemy, shadow work, yoga, nutrition advice, and sometimes even energy work like Sekhem, depending on their training and the needs of their clients.

The key principle behind holistic counseling is the belief that to achieve optimal health and wellness, one must consider the full range of influences on a person's life, including their environment, relationships, lifestyle choices, and personal beliefs and values. By doing so, holistic counseling aims to help individuals find balance, develop a deeper understanding of themselves, and foster a sense of wholeness and well-being.
