Advocacy & Equity
Healing the Root. Reclaiming Our Rights. Reshaping the System.
As the Founder of Holistic Professionals of Color Association, Dr. Haymore brings over 25 years of experience in education, equity, and ancestral healing. Her leadership is rooted in spiritual alignment and a bold vision for what wellness could be when it’s liberated, accessible, and rooted in cultural truth.
At Holistic Professionals of Color (HPOC), we don’t just practice wellness — we fight for it. Our advocacy and equity work is grounded in the belief that healing is a birthright, not a privilege. For far too long, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color have been excluded, overlooked, or criminalized in both the mainstream medical system and the holistic health space. We are here to change that.
What We’re Fighting For
We advocate for health freedom, cultural respect, and systemic accountability. Our work ensures that BIPOC healers and communities have the right to access, practice, and be represented in natural and holistic health — safely, legally, and unapologetically.
We work to:
-
Influence Policy – Partnering with health freedom coalitions and legislative allies to protect the rights of natural healers and ensure culturally rooted practices are not criminalized or erased.
-
Dismantle Disparities – Addressing the root causes of health inequities in BIPOC communities by challenging systems of oppression that impact access, affordability, and trust in care.
-
Amplify BIPOC Practitioners – Elevating the voices and work of healers of color who bring cultural wisdom and ancestral practices into the wellness world — often without recognition or protection.
-
Educate for Liberation – Hosting events, trainings, and summits that explore the intersection of race, health, policy, and spirituality. From our State of Black Holistic Health Summit to Wellness Reimagined: A DEI Framework for Holistic Health, we are raising the collective consciousness.
-
Create Systems of Our Own – From providing access to qualified and trained wellness practitioners to launching culturally affirming accreditation bodies, we are creating new pathways for legitimacy, integrity, and self-governance in holistic health.
Our Impact Is National
With over 30 chapters across the U.S., HPOC mobilizes a nationwide network of grassroots leaders, practitioners, and changemakers. Our advocacy is not theoretical — it’s lived. We see it in every community garden we plant, every wellness walk we lead, and every practitioner we protect.
We don’t ask permission to heal.
We create space.
We protect the sacred.
We reclaim what was ours.
Get Involved
Healing justice requires all of us. Whether you’re a practitioner, policymaker, student, or supporter — there’s a place for you in this movement.
